Fondation CERDEL was founded in November 1995 by Raoul Pierre-Louis with support from Intercooperation, a Swiss organization for international cooperation.
The Foundation is a private, non-profit entity organized under Haitian law. It is directed by a Board with five members who serve for five years.
Meet Our Team
Executive Director, Planner
Raoul Pierre-Louis is a planner and engineer. In 2006 he was elected and he served until 2017 as President of the Conseil d’administration de la section communale of Turgeau in Port-au-Prince. In May 2010 he was named member of the Interim Commission for the Reconstruction of Haiti (CIRH). From 1985 to 1987 he was the Director of Natural Resources at the Haitian Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Mr. Pierre-Louis has held positions as technical advisor with the Food and Agriculture Organization in Niger and Burkina Faso and with the Swiss Cooperation in Mali. Raoul Pierre-Louis received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering and a Master of Regional Planning (1991) from Cornell University; he studied policy analysis at The New School University (2005).
June Neff Pierre-Louis
Acting President, Nutritionist
June Neff Pierre-Louis is a nutritionist. In Haiti, she has conducted research and program evaluations on vitamin A deficiency, quality of care, iodization of salt, and food security. She has held positions with UNICEF in Ethiopia and New York, and with Helen Keller International and the New York State Department of Health. From 2008 to 2015 she managed nutrition programs for persons living with HIV/AIDS. June Neff Pierre-Louis received her Ph.D. in nutritional sciences (1995) from Cornell University and Master of Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles.
